World Tourism Day: Visakha Tourism Department Bagged Three National Awards
Visakhapatnam District Tourism department has won three national awards for its natural beauty.
Visakhapatnam District Tourism department has won three national awards for its natural beauty. The central government presents tourism awards annually on World Tourism Day. State Tourism Minister Avanti Srinivasa Rao will be receiving the award from Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Friday at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi.
Minister Avanthi said the Vishakha won the awards in three categories. The Best State Award in the category of Comprehensive Tourism Development, for publishing books on Handicrafts and Ocean Shores in English category and Visakhapatnam Railway Station as the Best Tourist Friendly Railway Station. Minister Avanthi said that he was delighted to receive these prestigious awards.
Avanthi said that the government is taking the initiative to develop Visakha tourism on a global scale to achieve more awards.
