Ongole: The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana of the Central government in association with Patanjali Yoga Samiti organised the Recognition of Prior Learning-4 exam for the yoga trainers in Ongole on Sunday.

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process used to evaluate a person's existing skill sets, knowledge and experience gained in formal, informal or non-formal training. The certification issued by the PMKVY will be helpful in getting a job in the government and non-government sector or to train others on the skill.

The Patanjali Yoga Samiti district president, Valiveti Sudheer said that about 50 candidates participated in the exam in the third batch and Ongole branch was the only branch that organised exam for the third batch in the state.

He said that the candidates who wished to take the exam were trained by the state president Gandhavala Balasubrahmanyam for the last 15 days. He added that the candidates were participated in the online exam, asana performance and viva as part of the exam.

Sudheer announced that the fourth batch for the RPL4 exam will start in a few days and asked the interested candidates to contact the organisers at 9885125053 or 9618701010 for more details. Desu Venkaiah, Tenkayala Srinu, Soma Subbarao, Dhanalakshmi, Krishnaveni, and others also participated in the programme.
