Amaravati: MLA Ambati Rambabu lambasted TDP supremo and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for creating a scene to gain attention in the State capital on Thursday.

Addressing the media here on Friday, he said that the Opposition leader has been showing his histrionics even after the people of the surrounding constituencies have rejected his party outright in the elections.

Ridiculing the former Chief Minister, Ambati said that after losing the elections badly it appears Naidu had nothing else to do but raising non-issues and trying to gain political mileage. He opined that holding such marches and tours appears to be attention-seeking syndrome.

First, it was Chalo Atmakur, followed by attributing former Speaker Kodela's suicide to YSRCP, the row on non-existent sand scarcity, much ado about introduction of English medium at the primary school level by the government and now the drama about the capital city.

"The government is very clear about the new capital issue. It is Naidu, who created a scam capital during his five-year rule and looted the State. The government has constituted a committee to look into the corruption charges against the previous government. The report will be submitted soon and all facts will come into light," he said. The election results have shown the door to TDP, he said.

"YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has been working with utmost sincerity by being accountable to the people for every rupee being spent. Reverse tendering was introduced to curb corruption in the irrigation project works such as Polavaram Project," he asserted.

The previous TDP government had harassed the capital region farmers by grabbing their lands in the name of land pooling. When the newly formed State was given 10 years to build its capital and continue governance from Hyderabad for 10 years, it was Naidu who ran away from there only to build temporary structures in the new capital, he said.
