The Tashkent Files is about the mysterious circumstances under which the second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri died in Russia.
The film stars an incredible ensemble of Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Shweta Basu, Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Mandira Bedi, Pallavi Joshi, Ankur Rathee and Prakash Belawadi.
Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and bankrolled by Zee Studios, the film releases on 12th April 2019. The trailer for the film will be on out on 25th March.
The demise of Lal Bahadur Shastri is one big controversial conspiracy laced debate and the film will explore two narratives, which is known to the audience and second one which is mysterious.
