His breath-taking acting in Gully Boy received a thunderous response from critics and audiences and the film went on to become a blockbuster. Ranveer reveals that he has, for long, been inspired by Japanese theatre and he used a novel acting technique from the land of the rising sun to ace his performance in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy.

He says, "It is called the art of absence. As a lead hero in Bollywood, you are taught to be present. The ask is to own the frame but this teaches you the ability to be in a frame and go unnoticed." Ranveer has always been the one to bring something new on screen for audiences and looks like he is constantly looking to innovate to infuse new energy into his performances.

Ranveer Singh is truly a perfectionist actor. He has owned each and every role that he has ever played on screen and delivered some of the best acting performances that India has seen in recent years. His stellar acting performances in Band Baaja Baarat, Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela, Padmaavat, Gully Boy, to name a few, has catapulted him as one of the most loved actors of this generation.
