Thalapathy Vijay has been making the headlines for one reason or the other.
Thalapathy Vijay has been making the headlines for one reason or the other. There's no doubt that all his movies are box office hits. So he he has been grabbing the top news slots for his movie's record collections.
The last we heard was his latest release and sports drama Bigil's business at the box office. Then came announcement about his next with Lokesh Kanagaraj titled Master which has evoked a lot of interest among the audience.
Then out of the blue came the blow that Vijay's house had been raided in chennai and his financial transactions with the Bigil producer Anbu being questioned. The Kollywood actor was grilled by the IT department and Vijay cooperated with them before resuming his Master shoot in Neyveli.
As if that was not enough, his selfie on the sets on the last day of his Neyveli schedule created a social media storm. So when all this was happening surfaced a report that Vijay was connected to a foreign organisation which funds Christian conversions in India.
The actor was devastated as his dad is a Christian and mom is a Hindu. He chose not to respond to the rumours even as the controversy raged on.
However, a recent report doing the rounds suggests that his father instead has decided to clarify on Vijay's link to Christian conversions.
Hr is believed to have said that even though he is a Christian he the number of times he's visited Tirupati with wife exceeds his visit to Jerusalem (which he has visited just once).
Also, he reportedly drew attention to the fact that there was a huge Pooja room at Vijay's house as his wife was a Hindu.
So that should put all speculation surrounding Vijay's reported links to religious conversions to rest.
