Bengaluru Police Foil Murder Attempt On Roberrt Producer

The Bangalore police have arrested a gang of seven members belonging to Bombay Ravi who were planning to murder the producer of the movie 'Roberrt' along with his brother and two Rowdy sheeters. As per police records, Darshan from Bangalore, Girish, Mohan, Rajan and others have been arrested.

Meanwhile, the accused Bombay Ravi and Manjunath from Neelasandra have escaped and the police are on the lookout for them. The accused were waiting in a car near Jayanagar National college, planning to murder Producer Umapathi Srinivasa, his brother Deepak, and rowdy sheeters Cycle Ravi, and Bakery Raghu, it is being said.

According to details furnished by Harish Pandey DCP of South, police inspector of Jayanagar was on rounds in the early morning of Sunday at about 5 am. Some informant told that a few people who were sitting in a car were discussing loudly about matter pertaining to a murder. When the inspector went to find out, the accused started the car and tried to mow down the car on the cop. Later, the car was intercepted with the help of a police jeep and the inmates of the car were asked to get down.

But an accused who was sitting in the car tried to attack the police with arms and ammunition. Immediately, some more policemen joined the spot and took the accused into custody. On searching the car, the police found out many weapons in the car. The investigation has revealed that the gang had planned to murder a person. During the time, the two main accused who were standing at a distance escaped from the spot on seeing the police. Police have taken this case seriously and suspect that others might be involved in this case, and are collecting all the details about this case.

One of the persons who were arrested is a rowdy sheeter and some criminal cases have been booked against the three accused. The exact motive behind this murder attempt is not known. Initial investigations have revealed that money and land dealings are the cause for this planning of murder attempt. Recently, Cycle Ravi and Bakery Raghu had entered into an argument with Bombay Ravi in connection with a land deal.

Besides, they had financial dealings with the film producer and his brother. In this connection the accused had planned to murder four people. There was information that Deepak would come to National College road on the morning of Sunday at about 5 am. Hence sources say that the gang had planned to attack the producer at this hour.
