'Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea' is an upcoming Malayalam movie featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. Touted to be an epic historical drama, Prigadarshan is helming this project.
Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh are playing the female leads in this movie which also features popular actors like Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja Prabhu, etc in the crucial roles. Today, none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi and Megapowerstar Ramcharan unveiled the theatrical trailer of the film. The trailer showcased the story set in the 16th century. The movie is going to be about the battle exploits of Kunjali Marakkar 4 who was the Naval Chieftain of Zamorin of Calicut. The grand visuals and outstanding action sequences are increasing the expectations of the film.

Antony Perumbavoor and Santhosh T Kuruvilla under Aashirvad Cinemas and Moonshot Entertainments banner are bankrolling this project. Ronnie Raphael is scoring music for the film which is gearing up for a grand release on 26 March 2020.
