Hyderabad: Positive education is the catalyst to learn newer and newer things and in turn helps us to gain self-confidence and self-respect, observed Thiruvananthapuram IIST Chancellor & ISRO Distinguished Scientist Dr. B.N.Suresh here on Friday at GITAM Deemed to be University 10th convocation.

He participated in the convocation as the chief guest and delivered the convocation address. As part of the convocation the university presented honorary doctorates to Dr. B.N.Suresh, (D.Sc.), Gullapalli N Rao (D.Sc.) and Chintakindi Mallesham (D.Litt).

In the convocation, 19 research scholars received their Ph.D degrees. About 72 MBA, 13 M.Tech. and 720 graduates from engineering and science received their degrees.

The university also presented gold medals to best researchers and meritorious students.
