KCR's Secretariat plan, the right move
It is a good move to construct a Secretariat Complex with all government offices at one place.
It is a good move to construct a Secretariat Complex with all government offices at one place. Officials and common men coming to the capital city on any government office work can conveniently approach the required offices at one place.
It is a fact that there is a dire need for upgrading the Chief Minister's office block ('C' Block). The internal access road to that block is also zig-zag which is to be modified properly.
Apart from putting all the offices at one place, it is also necessary to allow inter-office transfers of all officials including Secretariat offices.
It is also important to see that the sections and posts dealing with technical and engineering issues shall be posted by technical people only.
Technical issues need specialisation in dealing with them. There are already specialised units for legal issues etc. and the same shall be extended to engineering departments also.
These steps will improve the transparency and efficiency of administration in Telangana State.
