A4 liquor shop renewal deadline extended to Sept 22

Amaravati: The state government has extended the deadline for renewal of A4 liquor shops for the 2026-27 excise year by two more days, up to Wednesday following a request from A4 shop owners. The decision is aimed at providing additional time to existing A4 shop operators to complete the renewal process and remit the prescribed renewal fee and application fee.

According to the latest figures as on September 21, a total of 3,650 A4 shops have been notified across the State. Against the renewal RET and application fee demand of Rs.933.44 crore, collections stood at Rs.676 crore, leaving a balance of Rs.257 crore.

Under the annual RET component, the demand was Rs.2,454.76 crore, against which Rs 441 crore had been collected, leaving a balance of Rs.172.34 crore. The permit room RET demand stood at Rs 249.15 crore, with Rs.62 crore collected and a balance of Rs.21.20 crore under the relevant component.

The overall annual demand from renewal RET, annual RET and permit room RET stood at Rs.3,637.35 crore. Of this, Rs.1,179.63 crore had been collected as of 7.15 p.m. on Monday, leaving a total balance of Rs 450.55 crore.
