Thousands of devotees thronged the place. Deity of Mahankali ammavaru has been taken for procession. ADSS hoisted OM flag. Kuchipudi dance performance attracted the attention of people. Ravana's 40-feet effigy has been burnt. Crackers have been burst. Former Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao, Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy, MLA Kaleru Venkatesh were among dignitaries present.
Corporator Padmavathi Reddy, former corporator Gnaneshwar Goud, city BJP former president B Venkat Reddy, ADSS representatives Durga Prasad Reddy, Gaddam Lakshman Goud, Chintala Srinivas Mudhiraj, Sri Ramulu Mudhiraj, Srikanth Goud, Dhanaraj Goud, Chandrasekhar Reddy and others were also present.
