Pallapu Govardhan distributes free helmets to youngsters during the ‘Drive Safe, Be Safe’ road safety awareness programme at Film Nagar on Friday
Hyderabad: Khairatabad senior leader and Bhagyanagar Utsav Samithi (BGUS) secretary Pallapu Govardhan urged youngsters to follow traffic rules and avoid risking their lives through reckless driving.
A road safety awareness programme titled ‘Drive Safe, Be Safe’ was organised at Film Nagar on Friday to educate youngsters about traffic regulations. As part of the initiative, free helmets were distributed to 500 youngsters.
Speaking on the occasion, Govardhan stressed the importance of following traffic rules, avoiding triple riding and refraining from reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. He warned that traffic violations not only endanger motorists but also put other road users at risk.
He announced that similar road safety awareness camps and free helmet distribution programmes would soon be organised across the Khairatabad constituency to promote responsible driving and reduce road accidents.
