Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that the State government was supporting G Prasad Kumar and assured the Speaker that an appropriate action would be taken against the MLCs, who made derogatory remarks against him on Monday.
The Chief Minister met the Speaker at his chambers in the Assembly on Tuesday and expressed anguish over the BRS MLCs objectionable comments. They also reviewed the newspaper reports, TV footage and social media posts and termed it as unfortunate, which took place outside the Assembly. The Chief Minister was deeply distressed to see visuals of the Speaker becoming emotional after being abused. Earlier, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sajjanar submitted a report to the Chief Minister on the clash between BRS MLAs , MLCs and police outside the Assembly on Monday.
