Cong chants winnability mantra…!

Will Congress field former MLA Danam Nagendar in the by elections to Khairatabad Assembly Constituency? Following the reports of CM Revanth Reddy staying away from meeting Nagendar after the High Court disqualified the turncoat MLA from the membership of the Assembly, leaders said that the party would finalise the candidate only on the basis of the winning prospects.

In Jubilee Hills by elections, many strong leaders including former cricketer Mohd Azaruddin tried hard to get a party ticket . The party has selected 'winning horse' V Naveen Yadav in the eleventh hour. The party was serious on winning the

byelections and the political equations in the assembly segment are important in the finalization of the candidate.

In the 2023 elections, Congress candidate P Vijaya Reddy fought against BRS candidate Nagendar and lost the elections by a margin of 22,000 votes. Vijaya Reddy was still holding a grip in the constituency. Another leader Rohin Reddy who was a close aide to CM Revanth Reddy was trying to get the party ticket.

Meanwhile, speaking to newsmen after the Supreme Court verdict, Nagendar declared he would contest the by-election and was ready to prove his leadership in the service of the people for decades. Praising the Chief Minister for implementing numerous welfare schemes, the former MLA said that he would announce from which party he would fight the by-election soon.
