Corporator Pannal Kavya Reddy inspects dump yard
Balajinagar Corporator PannalKavya Reddy on Tuesday inspected the garbage dumpyard near VenkataramanaColony in KPHBphase 15 following complaints that the piled-up garbage was causing hardship to vehicle-users, leading to pollution and ailments to local residents and giving rise to mosquito menace.
Kukatpally: Balajinagar Corporator PannalKavya Reddy on Tuesday inspected the garbage dumpyard near VenkataramanaColony in KPHBphase 15 following complaints that the piled-up garbage was causing hardship to vehicle-users, leading to pollution and ailments to local residents and giving rise to mosquito menace.
She noted that the local stormwater drain was full of garbage/waste. Local residents appealed to her to clear the canal before rains become vigorous. They appealed to the GHMC to ensure that their garbage autos/lorries carry the garbage. They wanted the GHMC Swachh autowalahs not to carry their children while on duty.
The dump yard workers appealed to her to help create adequate facilities like provision of soaps, gloves and boots.Reddy assured them that she would take their needs to the notice of officials.
Among those who accompanied the corporator were party activists Vinod, Haribabu, M S Reddy, K V Reddy, Rajsekhar, Krishna Mudiraj, Ravi, Tirupati, Krishna Rao, Chinna, Sudha, B Revati, Durga, Koteswar Rao, T Ramesh and Raji Reddy.
