Defunct traffic signal sparks traffic chaos

Suraram: Traffic signal at Suraram main road has been not working for the past one month. Due to malfunctioning of the traffic signals, vehicles coming from both the directions of the road, cross the junction at the same time that results in traffic chaos.

D Sai Kumar, a commuter, said that the traffic issue has become intolerable especially during peak hours and despite several complaints by the commuters, the authorities had not fixed the signal yet. Many locals have complained that during night time, there is no one to monitor the situation, he added.
