Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan inspected arrangements for the Ganesh idol immersion programme at NTR Marg and Tank Bund on Thursday ahead of the main event on Friday.
Accompanied by Zonal Commissioners of Golconda and Khairtabad, ASP GHMC, and Additional Commissioner Sanitation, Karnan reviewed readiness measures to ensure smooth and safe execution.
He directed inter-departmental officials to maintain close coordination and instructed field staff to remain vigilant, ensuring essential facilities are readily available for devotees and procession participants.
Placing special emphasis on cleanliness along procession routes and immersion points, the Commissioner ordered sanitation teams to work continuously during and after festivities to promptly clear garbage and debris.
Officials were tasked with real-time ground monitoring to address issues immediately, ensuring peaceful conduct throughout the event.
