GHMC Deputy Commissioner oversees works at inundated areas
The GHMC Deputy Commissioner of Malkajgiri circle, K Venugopal, visited low-lying areas which were inundated due to heavy rains that lashed the city in the last two days on Thursday.
Malkajgiri: The GHMC Deputy Commissioner of Malkajgiri circle, K Venugopal, visited low-lying areas which were inundated due to heavy rains that lashed the city in the last two days on Thursday.
The official inspected relief works at RK Nagar main road, Vasanthapuri Colony, Shiridi Nagar and NMDC Colony. The relief teams ensured that stagnated water and sludge were cleared from the flooded areas. Fogging was also done to prevent breeding of mosquitoes in the areas. He urged GHMC staff to take necessary measures to prevent spread of seasonal diseases.
AMHO Dr LM Nirmala, sanitation supervisor Ravinder Reddy, entomology official Anil Kumar, sanitation staff, local leader Satish Yadav, colony residents and others were present on the occasion.
