Old City: The holy month of Ramzan is awaited not just by the Muslims, but by all Hyderabadis. People make plans well in advance to head to the Old City and savour the gooey dish. Nayab Hotel, Madina Hotel and Farasha to name a few are most sought after.

Aziz Zafar of Nayab Hotel shares the mood, "It is almost 40 years now, and we have a dedicated clientele. People from all corners of the city come to us. We stared the hotel in 1986."

Mirza Sayeed Baig, hotel manager,said using choicest masala, fresh mutton and dry fruit make the dish stand out.

Madina Hotel is another place where people flock to eat. Mohd Jabri, the owner, said, "Our hotel is famous since 1947. Osman Ali Pasha opened the restaurant, since then the public response has been positive. On an average, we get 5,000 to 6,000 customers. A customer, Zeeshan Sarwari, said, "I love the haleem, as this is the first-ever restaurant started the haleem culture, and I love visiting here.I bring my family members too."

Abdul Majid Attar, the owner of Farasha Hotel, has been a busy man. He says, "The response from people is overwhelming. A number of tourists visit us, and we take the pride in serving the signature dish."

Sreecharan, a customer, said, "I came all the way from Kukatpally to have Haleem.We also get a beautiful view of Charminar, while enjoying Haleem." Echoing a similar sentiment, Krishna, another customer, said,"I love visiting this place.I have been visiting the place for past five years. I have been here with my friends and my family, and we love the Haleem here."
