Hyderabad: The traffic came to a standstill at a few junctions in Hyderabad on Tuesday as the party cadre of multiple parties protested against the farm bills passed by Parliament and in support of the farmers who gave a call to nationwide bandh on December 8.

At a junction near Usha Mullapudi hospital in Gajularamram, as the traffic was halted for more than an hour, the motorists got irked and started arguing with the on-duty cops. However, within a few minutes, the MLA of Serilingampally, A Gandhi, arrived on the scene and questioned the protesting woman over her anger. She asked where all these protests were when farmers were committing suicide, and expressed her anguish over getting stopped in the traffic for more than hour.

The MLA responded that they were doing it for the sake of farmers and if the farmers from all over the nation gathered to protest then it was their right to support them. Meanwhile, another motorist also approached the MLA and questioned their motives, but he was shoved away by the supporters of MLA. Apart from it, the traffic also came to a standstill at various places such as, Punjagutta, Begumpet, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Tarnaka, Malkajgiri, Lalapet etc… But was cleared after a while as the protestors left the streets.
