Two siblings, G Amrutha Reddy and Gana Santoshini, are to give a karate display on May 30 at 1 pm in a bid to achieve the world record at GVR Karate Academy here, in the presence of officials from the agencies of world records and several prominent persons, according to academy director Dr GS Gopal Reddy.

The Karate display will be at 1 pm on May 30. The sisters will try to break 60 'Shabad' stones in 5 min on their chests while lying down to mark the completion of 5 years of Telangana formation

Barkatpura: Two siblings, G Amrutha Reddy and Gana Santoshini, are to give a karate display on May 30 at 1 pm in a bid to achieve the world record at GVR Karate Academy here, in the presence of officials from the agencies of world records and several prominent persons, according to academy director Dr GS Gopal Reddy.

Reddy said that the sisters will try to break 60 'Shabad' stones in 5 min on their chests while lying down to mark the completion of 5 years of Telangana formation in a bid to achieve Limca Book of Record. He said that in 2012-13 Gana Santoshini received multi-talent 'Bala Surya' award from the then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Her elder sibling, Amruta, broke 365 tiles in 365 sec on her forehead, in connection with Telangana completing 365 days of its formation to annex several world records. She also bagged a world record by breaking 36 granite stones in 2.8 min on her chest while lying down on a bed that has 1,096 nails to mark the completion of 3 years of Telangana formation.
