Kartika Deepotsavam off to glittering start

Hydernagar: Local corporator Janakirama Raju on Sunday inaugurated the 'Kartika Deepotsavam' organised to mark the 'Karthika Masam' at Nizampet Crossroads Junction Hall. He went around a photo exhibition on 'Atma, Paramatma, Karma' and meditated for some time.
The organisers said the event would continue up to November 12. Addressing the participants, Raju wished for the blessings of Lord Shiva to everyone. He pledged to extend cooperation to the Brahmakumaris, while stating that the event provided an opportunity for the devotees to see 'Dwadasa jyotirlingalu' at one place.
The corporator observed that lighting the traditional lamp to mark the inauguration indicated igniting the 'atma jyothi' and banishing ignorance. Cultural events presented by children attracted wide attention.
Brahmakumaris were among those who were present at the inauguration along with former Mallampet Sarpanch Srinivas Goud, Brahmakumaris' Marredpally sub-zonal in-charge Rajyogini Manju, Miyapur Brahmakumaris in-charge Neelima, Brahmakumar Satyanarayana, Kondal Rao and Sashidhar.
