In an endeavor to empower the spouses of tri-services officers attending the Higher Defence Management Course and faculty members at College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, a nine-week-long certificate course commenced on “Social Awareness and Life Skills Towards Responsible Citizenship (SALSRC).”

Sainikpuri: In an endeavor to empower the spouses of tri-services officers attending the Higher Defence Management Course and faculty members at College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, a nine-week-long certificate course commenced on "Social Awareness and Life Skills Towards Responsible Citizenship (SALSRC)."

The Certificate Course at CDM, a premier tri- services institution, is being conducted in collaboration with Osmania University (OU), All India Institute of Management Association (AIMA) for 49 participant spouses of Armed Forces officers from three services.

The aim of the course is to empower the ladies in various aspects pertaining to Corporate Social Responsibility and Life Skills towards a life of fulfillment at personal and professional level and help them in discharging their duties as responsible citizens.

The course designed with multi-disciplinary curriculum, is jointly being conducted by faculties from CDM, Secunderabad and Osmania University encompassing various modules on Women Empowerment, Social Awareness, Life Skills and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Considering the scope of the course as part of value addition to the curriculum, several guest speakers are also being invited to deliver talk to the course participants from fields like Environment Protection, Apollo Hospital and various NGOs of national and international repute and a field visit to Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
