Mayor Bonthu Rammohan tours several areas, inspects relief
Mayor Bonthu Rammohan inspected the roads which were damaged due to heavy rains that have been lashing the city for the past week and road repairs being done on Sunday.
Hyderabad: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan inspected the roads which were damaged due to heavy rains that have been lashing the city for the past week and road repairs being done on Sunday. He also inspected the relief works being carried out by monsoon emergency teams and disaster relief teams in the city.
The Mayor said that 150 special monsoon emergency teams were formed to ensure citizens did not face any inconvenience and repair the damaged roads. The teams from various government departments have already been conducting relief and repair works, he said.
He congratulated DRF teams for their effective work to clear trees that fell on roads using special tools. The Mayor said that GHMC commissioner, additional, zonal and deputy commissioners were monitoring relief and road repair works at field level. He instructed GHMC officials to carry out relief and rescue works in the inundated colonies as soon as possible.
