Minister V Srinivas Goud greets participants in karate championship
Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud on Wednesday greeted the 15 participants from the State in the International Karate Championship being held in Dubai from November 15-17. He urged them to excel and bring laurels to Telangana.
Hyderabad: Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud on Wednesday greeted the 15 participants from the State in the International Karate Championship being held in Dubai from November 15-17. He urged them to excel and bring laurels to Telangana.
The participants have undergone training at Pako Martial Arts and Self-Defence Academy. The team members are: Syed Iftar Husssain, Sabiha Begum, Talseem Afzal, Talib Hussain, Mohd Hussain, Farida Sultana, Horia Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Ethesham-ul-Haq, Fateh Ali Mohammad, Obaid Bavazeer, Mohd Sultan Ali, Sohail Bavazeer, Mohd Azam and Meer Mustafa Ali Khan.
Four of them are taking part in the international event for the fourth consecutive year. Meanwhile, the minister congratulated J Narsing for securing the gold medal in the Ninth South India Senior Wrestling (125 kg) Championship in the presence of SATS Chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy, MLA Anjayya Yadav and Badmi Shivakumar.
