Malkajgiri: Local MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao, along with zonal commissioner Venugopal, corporators Akula Narsinga Rao, Raj Jithenderanath, AMHO Nirmala and other GHMC officials, visited rain-affected areas in 133 and 139 divisions of the Malkajgiri constituency on Monday. The MLA reviewed the situation at Srinagar Colony, Shiridi Nagar and other colonies in 139th division and Sapthagiri Colony in 133rd division.

Responding to several complaints lodged by locals regarding water-logging and other issues they faced due to heavy rains, the MLA said that attempts were being made to find permanent solution to the issues in consultation with officials of GHMC, Railways and other government departments.

During his padayatra in Sapthagiri colony, responding the locals' request to provide a separate pipeline to prevent water logging in the society, the MLA spoke to zonal commissioner and instructed her to prepare estimates for the proposed work. The MLA said that he had undertaken padayatra in the constituency to make himself aware of public issues. He urged locals to cooperate with the administration in addressing the issues.

GHMC AE Deepak, AEE Srikanth, DGM Bhaskar, local leaders Prem Kumar, R Satish, Ramu Yadav, Lakshmikanth Reddy, Ayub Ali, Naresh Kumar, R Raju, Mohan Yadav, Jagadish Goud, Osman and others accompanied the MLA during his padayatra.
