Hyderabad: The pursuit for an organic life has come to an end. And that life begins with hemp. For some, it has already begun. To open the world of hemp in India, entrepreneurs from Hemp Republic, Hempsters, Green Jams and Satliva have come together to launch Project H to give people a glimpse of the burgeoning hemp industry.

Hemp, or industrial hemp, typically found in the northern hemisphere, is a strain of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products. It is one of the fastest growing plants and was one of the first plants to be spun into usable fiber 10,000 years ago.

Setting the bar for sustainability and style, Project H intends to support the growth and development of practices for cultivating, processing and using industrial hemp in India. A platform for sharing knowledge and expertise on industrial hemp, the project encourages hemp professionals with an emphasis on bio-sustainable practices for a healthy ecosystem - whether to make the softest yarn or the sturdiest wall.
