Neera sale will boost Gouds'conditions
Minister for Excise and Prohibition Srinivas Goud hoped that Gouds will be able to lead respectable lives with the sale of ‘neera.’
Ashok Nagar: Minister for Excise and Prohibition Srinivas Goud hoped that Gouds will be able to lead respectable lives with the sale of 'neera.' He was speaking at 'Kartika Vanabhojanalu' programme organised by Goud community members and professionals association at Indira Park on Sunday. Later, the minister was felicitated by the association.
The minister told the gathering that the State government had brought a GO to provide exclusive rights to Goud community to sell neera, which would help in earning extra income and respectability to Gouds.
He said that 'neera' has many medicinal properties and would help in curing many diseases. The government would establish 'neera cafes' in the state and would promote export of neera to other countries apart from supplying to other states, he said. The minister said that the state government had been striving to promote caste-based professions.
Goud leaders Dr Vijay Bhaskar Goud, Ramesh Babu, BC welfare association state president Jajula Srinivas Goud, former MLAs Rajesh Goud, Satyanarayana, Anand Goud, Rajesham, NV Ramana, Venkateshwara Goud, Janga Goud, Satyam Goud, and large number of Gouds along with their family members participated in the 'Vanabhojanam' programme.
