The UGC - Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organised two-week-long refresher course in Oriental Studies (Urdu, Persian and Arabic). The course was inaugurated on July 2.

Hyderabad: The UGC - Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organised two-week-long refresher course in Oriental Studies (Urdu, Persian and Arabic). The course was inaugurated on July 2.

Prof Ayub Khan, PVC, MANUU, said the languages open up a host of areas for study and research. Every subject needs language for communication and this course is creating awareness among language teachers. Course Coordinator Prof. Shahid Naukhez, Head, Department of Persian, presented a detailed report and conducted the valedictory.

Thirty Assistant Professors of Urdu, Arabic and Persian languages from all over India attended the programme. Participants shared their experiences and presented feedback about the programme. Certificates were also distributed to them. Earlier, Dr Tahseen Bilgrami, Deputy Director of UGC-HRDC, welcomed the gathering. Dr Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Assistant Director of UGC-HRDC, MANUU, proposed a vote of thanks. (INN)
