Somajiguda: The Telangana Sainik Welfare department on Monday organised an awareness programme on EAMCET web counselling at Saink Aramgarh Complex for children of ex-servicemen who have applied for engineering courses.

The awareness programme received good response as large number of students were present. Telangana Sainik Welfare department director Colonel Ramesh Kumar who inaugurated the programme advised the students to avail of the opportunity.

The Sainik Welfare department have organised several programme for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their children to ensure bright future for their children, the colonel said.

Major Narayana, who is the principal of a noted engineering college and has experience in web counselling, told the students about the web counselling, ways to select different options, various options such as colleges and branches, how to avoid mistakes during the counselling, how not to get cheated by agents and other related topics using power point presentation. He then clarified several doubts raised by students and their parents.

Regional Sainik Welfare officer of Hyderabad region Sreenesh Kumar coordinated the awareness programme. Placement Officer Captain Srinivas, Sainik Welfare department staff, students and their parents attended the programme.
