Property tax payers pay Rs 91 cr online

Hyderabad: Hyderabad citizens showing interest in paying property tax as part of early bird scheme through online. As part of the early bird Scheme, the amount of the property tax of the financial year 2019-20 had reached Rs 258 crore on Wednesday evening. The tax payment received through online is Rs. 91 crore.
According to GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore, public are likely to utilise the opportunity of 5% reduction on the total tax for tax payer until April 30. As part of the early bird scheme, on Wednesday GHMC received Rs 24.50 crores by evening.
The bill collectors collected Rs 71.45 crore through the Citizens' Service Centres and Rs 66.45 crore through Mee Seva. The number of online tax payers increased significantly as the awareness program initiated to pay the property tax.
