Schools and junior colleges in Telangana will be opened for students in December. The education department has sent a detailed proposal to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for approval.
A meeting was held between teachers, school managements and parents on the reopening of schools for Class 9 and 10 students. The department is planning to reopen schools and colleges for a period of 120 days for the academic year 2020-21.
However, the date for the commencement of physical classes for Class 9 and 10 students and junior colleges has not been finalised yet. Now, the schedule for GHMC elections has been announced, the classes will be resumed in the second week of December.
All the institutions including the schools run by the Telangana social welfare residential educational institutions society will be opened.
Meanwhile, the exam schedule for Class 10 and Class 12 had already been declared by the government. The final exams are scheduled to be held in April and March.
