SCR GM Gajanan Mallya reviews safety measures at station yards
The South Central Railway (SCR), General Manager, Gajanan Mallya instructed officials to focus on enhancing safety standards at station yards and at private sidings during a review meeting on safety, punctuality, freight loading and digital initiatives on Monday.
Secunderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR), General Manager, Gajanan Mallya instructed officials to focus on enhancing safety standards at station yards and at private sidings during a review meeting on safety, punctuality, freight loading and digital initiatives on Monday.
The Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.
Gajanan conducted a detailed review of increase in minor incidents happening at station yards and private sidings, which are affecting the operational convenience. He advised the officials to keep continuous focus on the improvement of infrastructure facilities related to safe running of trains by taking up the track renewal works on fast phase basis.
He also stressed on improvement of train punctuality and freight loading. He reviewed the division wise progress of the works related to implementation of e-office, UMID registrations, construction of Foot Over Bridges, High level Platforms and Provision of Divyangjan facilities at major railway stations and instructed to expedite the works.
