TGCHE Chairman Releases a Book on the Future of Management Education

Hyderabad: Prof. Balakista Reddy, Chairman, TGCHE, released a book titled “The Next Twenty Years – Management Education, Technology and Vikshit Bharat 2047” on Wednesday.

Prof. P. Narayana Reddy, a management expert, is the author, Director General of ICBM-School of Business Excellence, Hyderabad, and Treasurer of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). Through this book, the author calls on academicians, students, institutional leaders, and policymakers to rethink the fundamental principles of teaching, learning, and leadership within educational institutions.

The book also advocates for a transformative shift towards holistic education, enduring skills, and mindful learning—capabilities essential for navigating a rapidly evolving socio-economic landscape.

Prof. V. Balakista Reddy shared his insights on the state of higher education and briefed Prof. P. Narayana Reddy, Treasurer and Prof. Durga Prasad, Executive Director, Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), on the innovative measures undertaken by the TGCHE to integrate technology in the existing curriculum and make students employable in consonance with the global demands.

During the deliberations, AIMS will submit a status report to TGCHE on the state of management education in Telangana. AIMS representatives also volunteered to contribute to TGCHE's innovative programs in Aviation Management by providing resource persons. AIMS also volunteered to conduct training programs for students and management faculty in Telangana. AIMS representatives also promised the TGCHE Chairman to contribute to skill development in management education.

AIMS is a non-profit-making society with 700 Management Schools as its members and has represented India in important international forums for the last four decades.
