TPCC throws weight behind Con-backed RTC union polls

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee announced its official support for the Telangana RTC Workers Union affiliated with the Congress party in the upcoming RTC recognised union elections scheduled for October 9.

TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud issued a formal communication to DCC and CCC presidents alongside Congress MLAs, declaring full backing for TWU Registration Number A 4522.

He instructed party leaders and local cadres to extend full cooperation and actively coordinate with the union at RTC depots across their respective districts, cities, and Assembly constituencies. Mahesh Kumar Goud explicitly asked party leaders not to encourage or support any other unions during these union elections.

Furthermore, TPCC vice president and former Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has been appointed as overall in charge to supervise and coordinate election related activities on behalf of the party.
