Unbearable stench as sewage overflows

West Venkatapuram: The overflow of sewage on the roads has become a common sight in Dinakanager. The local residents have complained that the sewage water is flowing into pipeline that was supplying drinking water and it is becoming difficult to consume the water. The dirt is getting mixed in the drinking water.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, T Anil, a local, said that the sewerage water has been flowing on the road for the past few weeks and also posing a problem to the passersby. Moreover, the water logging is leading to mosquito menace in this area. It is also emitting foul smell, which is becoming unbearable. There was no proper drainage system in the area, he lamented.

Some of the residents here said that though they complained to the officials concerned on this issue, they remained indifferent. The pipeline, which was damaged, has not been repaired till now, they added.
