Uprooted trees: GHMC fails to clear debris
After the heavy downpour that wreaked havoc and felled hundreds of trees and several electric poles, thereby causing power disruption, the GHMC swung into action and set up a team to clear roads blocked by the trees and restore power.

However, the locals of Madhuranagar allege that the workers only removed the uprooted tree and left behind leaves and branches on the roadside. A local resident sharing this said, "The GHMC people come to clean the tree and restore power but they leave the branches and leaves of the tree as it is in the corner.
When asked to clean that area, too, they replied that a garbage van would collect it. Till now, no one has arrived here to collect it and the waste has started stinking very badly. The commuters have to cover their face as no one can bear the foul smell."
