Vigilance awareness week at South Central Railway from Oct 28
The South Central Railway will observe Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 2. The week is observed to mark birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which falls on October 31.
Secunderabad: The South Central Railway will observe Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 2. The week is observed to mark birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which falls on October 31.
The objective of the Vigilance Awareness Week is to bring about alertness amongst the public and government employees through participative and pro-active vigilance management to bring down the corruption.
The theme for the current year's Vigilance Awareness Week is 'Integrity – The Way of Life.' The vigilance wing of SCR will organise programmes during the week to cover zonal headquarters, six divisions, three major workshops and field units to create awareness against corruption/malpractices and to bring about system improvements through use of technology.
The week-long programmes conclude on November 2 with a walkathon and a bicycle rally from Rail Kalyan, Mettuguda, to Railway Officers Club. It would be followed with a human chain to raise awareness regarding the theme of the current year.
