Visaka Industries donates 18 solar pushcarts
Visaka Industries Limited, a publicly listed and one of India’s leading manufacturer with a range of sustainable and innovative products, on Monday displayed the benefits of one its products, ATUM, an integrated solar rooftop.

- Launched in December last year, ATUM proves to be a successful, profitable and sustainable product
- An integrated solar roofing system, it regulates temperature efficiently, is fire-resistant & shock-proof
- ATUM Smart Cart is not for commercialisation but is designed only for charity purpose as part of CSR
A total of 18 pushcarts were installed with ATUM on its roof and were converted into a Smart Cart. Each Smart Cart with a capacity to generate 1-1.5 units and 1280W of energy generated were donated to vegetable vendors.
Visaka launched first-of-its-kind in India, ATUM, in December 2018. It serves all the functions of a traditional roof, whilst generating energy. It is an integrated solar roofing system is ideal for homes, complexes, malls, offices, factories, and warehouses. All the 18 carts worth around Rs 7.2 lakh were donated to vegetable vendors at Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University in Hyderabad.
On this occasion, Vamsi Gaddam, Joint Managing Director of Visaka Industries, said, "The creation and distribution of ATUM Smart Cart is a testimony of our commitment to creating a sustainable living for our future generations. Smart Cart is a fully functional solar cart that can generate electricity." The company will continue donating Smart Cart to the budding local vendors."
