Engineers’ Day celebrated in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Engineers’ Day was celebrated with grandeur at the Karimnagar District Zilla Parishad premises on Monday, marking the 165th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. The celebrations were organised under the aegis of Panchayat Raj Karimnagar Region Engineers.

Cricket, chess and shuttle badminton competitions were conducted as part of the programme, with trophies and mementoes presented to the winners. Under the aegis of Lions Club Bhagathnagar, engineers from the district were also felicitated and appreciation certificates were presented. Superintending Engineer M.A. Rahman, DPRE E. Janardhan, DPRE Jagtial N. Laxman Rao and other engineering officials participated in the event. Engineers paid floral tributes to Sir Visvesvaraya and recalled his outstanding contributions to the nation’s development through engineering projects.
