Kurnool: Doctors at Kurnool Government General Hospital successfully performed an advanced laparoscopic fundoplication on a 30-year-old woman, Razia, who suffered from a hiatus hernia.
Admitted with persistent health issues that failed to respond to initial medication, the patient underwent detailed evaluations confirming the condition before the minimally invasive procedure on September 23.
Supervised by Professor of General Surgery Dr Madhavi Shyamala and guided by Hospital Superintendent Dr K Venkateswarlu, the skilled surgical team included Dr Suresh Reddy, Dr Chandra Reddy and Dr Karthik, alongside dedicated supporting medical staff.
The operation concluded successfully, and the patient is currently recovering well with stable health parameters under close medical observation.
Dr Venkateswarlu commended the surgical team, highlighting the hospital’s ongoing dedication to offering advanced healthcare solutions and efficiently managing complex procedures.
