Sangareddy: Telangana PCC working president Jagga Reddy and his wife Nirmala continued their sit-in protest here for the second day in support of Rahul Gandhi’s fight demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
To support Rahul, they stayed at the protest site day and night, expressing their dissent. They declared that the protest will continue for as long as the top leader’s movement continues.
People’s organisations, Congress leaders, party activists and locals came forward to support the protest. Former Bhadrachalam MLA Podem Veerayya, ex-Nizamabad Mayor Dharmapuri Sanjay and Sangareddy DCC president Chandrasekhar Reddy visited the protest camp to express solidarity.
Reddy said that Rahul is fighting to protect the voting rights of the people of the country. He clarified that their full support for Rahul’s struggle will continue. He appealed to people to stand with Rahul. Solidarity protest programmes will continue in the Sangareddy constituency, he added.
Large number of constituency party leaders, activists and supporters of Reddy participated in the programme.
