Anganwadi staff efforts crucial to eliminate SAM and MAM cases

Hanumakonda: District Collector Chahat Bajpai said the continuous efforts of Anganwadi staff in providing nutrition and healthcare to children, pregnant women and lactating mothers are invaluable. She urged Anganwadi teachers, supervisors and CDPOs to work in coordination to bring Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) cases to zero.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of Nutrition Month at RR Gardens in Parkal on Thursday, the Collector stressed the importance of proper nutrition during the first 1,000 days, from conception to a child’s second birthday.
