We are soldiers in Rahul Gandhi’s fight seeking CEC’s resignation: Jagga Reddy
Sangareddy: Telangana PCC working president T Jagga Reddy said on Sunday that he and others would extend full support to Rahul Gandhi’s campaign demanding resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He called upon every Congressman to continue working relentlessly until Rahul becomes the Prime Minister.
To enable people to watch the live telecast of the public meeting organised by INDIA bloc at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi, Reddy arranged large LED screens near the Ambedkar statue at the old bus stand here. He watched the live broadcast along with party leaders, activists and the public. They followed the proceedings from the beginning of the rally through the speeches delivered at the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Reddy alleged that the BJP had engaged in “vote theft” in the country. He stated that Rahul Gandhi was fighting to protect the voting rights of people; asserted that their struggle in support of Rahul’s demand for Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation would continue. Every Congress activist was moving forward in solidarity with Rahul.
He said the sacrifices made by Rahul’s family for the nation could never be forgotten. He hoped that a style of governance akin to Indira Gandhi’s tenure, under which the poor lived happily, would return. Rahul should become PM to ensure well-being of youth, women and farmers and to provide security for people. He urged partymen not to stop their efforts until that goal is achieved.
Reddy said his wife Nirmala and several Congress leaders had attended the Delhi meeting, while he remained in Sangareddy to listen to the speeches alongside local activists and the public. He remarked that Rahul holds a permanent place in the hearts of people and is fighting for their welfare.
