Suryapet is TG’s ‘Best District’ for RTI implementation
Suryapet: In a befitting honour, Suryapet has been selected as Telangana’s ‘Best Performing District’ for the implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, in recognition of its efforts to promote transparency and accountability in public administration. District Collector Tejas Nand Lal Pawar received the award from Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla during the RTI Week Celebrations–2026 in Hyderabad on Friday. The district administration has prioritised the timely disposal of RTI applications, regular monitoring of requests and improved coordination among government departments to ensure citizens’ access to information. The recognition reflects the coordinated efforts of district officials and staff in strengthening transparent and accountable governance.
District officials, staff and public representatives congratulated the Collector on the achievement.
