Anakapalli: Sabbavaram Government Degree College is set to undergo a major transformation with Rs 3.26 crore sanctioned for its development, informed Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu. Laying the foundation stone for development works along with MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao here on Friday, Ramesh Babu stated that the NDA government is according top priority to the education sector and was committed to strengthening educational infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.
Assuring that the college development works would be completed following strict timelines, the MLA said that necessary facilities would be provided to students.
“Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan and Education Minister Nara Lokesh are committed to developing the institution into a model college for the region,” Ramesh Babu stressed.
Later, the MLA directed the Mandal Revenue Officer and police officials to take immediate steps to remove encroachments at the college premises to ensure that the institution has adequate space for its development.
The MLA lauded college Principal TMA Niveditha’s efforts to develop the institution across various sectors and assured that he would extend all possible support for its progress. Speaking on the occasion, MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao stated that revolutionary changes are being introduced in the state’s education system.
