BRS protest over 1,000-day rule enters 4th day

Warangal: Former minister and BRS leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Saturday alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil its election promises to students and unemployed youth, as the BRS continued its four-day protests marking 1,000 days of the government.

Rao participated in demonstrations at mandal headquarters in the Narsampet constituency. Addressing a dharna at Narsampet chowrasta, he alleged that the government had neglected job recruitment, student welfare and employment opportunities despite completing 1,000 days in office.

He demanded that the government address student-related issues and implement the assurances made before the elections.

Meanwhile, Rao visited Ashok Nagar in Khanapur mandal, where a pedestal erected for the proposed unveiling of a statue of former BRS leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy was demolished.

Condemning the demolition, Rao alleged that it was carried out without prior notice and described attempts to prevent the statue’s unveiling as a “wicked act”. He alleged a political conspiracy by Congress leaders and vowed to ensure the statue was installed despite the obstacles. Rao also questioned why permissions were granted for other statues while hurdles were allegedly created for Sudarshan Reddy’s statue
