WARANGAL: Warangal District Collector Dr Satya Sarada has appealed to people to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion, joy and in a peaceful atmosphere.
In a message issued on the occasion of the festival, to be celebrated on Monday, the Collector extended her greetings to the people, public representatives, officials and print and electronic media personnel of the district.
She wished that, with the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, people would be blessed with happiness, good health, peace and prosperity. She also prayed for a good harvest, favourable agricultural conditions and prosperity for farmers in the district.
Give priority to environmental protection
Dr Satya Sarada urged people to give priority to environmental protection during the celebrations. She appealed to devotees to install and worship clay Ganesh idols, which are environment-friendly.
She called upon people to completely avoid idols that harm the environment and the use of chemical colours. Authorities in Warangal have also been directed to facilitate the smooth immersion of clay idols during the festival.
Follow rules during celebrations
The Collector appealed to people to conduct the celebrations peacefully with mutual cooperation. She urged devotees to observe the festival in accordance with Hindu traditions and promote brotherhood and unity in society.
She also asked the public to follow government guidelines and ensure that the celebrations were conducted in a peaceful manner.
