Hanumakonda: With heavy rains forecast, Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy and Vardhannapet MLA KR Nagaraju on Wednesday urged Ganesh mandapam organisers and devotees to exercise caution during immersion programmes.
The MLAs advised organisers to ensure that immersions are conducted safely and peacefully, particularly in areas prone to flooding and near deep water. They stressed the need for special attention to children and elderly devotees.
Mr. Rajender Reddy called upon Congress workers to coordinate with mandapam organisers and extend necessary assistance. He also urged precautions around electric wires, trees and other hazards near large idols, besides requesting police to regulate traffic during immersion.
Mr. Nagaraju appealed to organisers and devotees to coordinate closely and act responsibly in view of the rains. He expressed hope that the immersion ceremonies would conclude peacefully without accidents.
